Wineries & Breweries in the Area
Mendocino vineyards and wineries are garnering acclaim as the name "Mendocino"
and the special qualities of its wines become increasingly well-known.
Sangiovese and Syrah thrive in this region. Renowned Zinfandels are produced
from old vines, some planted before the turn of the century by Italian
immigrants. You'll also find a strong movement to organic wines by Mendocino County winemakers.
Anderson
Valley is one of the finest sparkling wine-producing areas in
the world, with cool ocean breezes ripening the grapes to perfection.
Many of these wineries are located along Highway 128, the most common
route to Mendocino from the south.
If you're interesting in wine-tasting without the
hassles,
Mendocino
Wine Tours now offers chauffered excursions in a stretch SUV to
many fine wineries in the Anderson Valley. Tours include a gourmet lunch,
private tours, and wine-tasting at many of the finest tasting rooms in
the area.
We'll be happy to send a map of the Mendocino County
