Chunky Apple Sauce

Agate Cove Recipes : Chunky Apple Sauce

 

This recipe makes enough apple sauce for
about a dozen servings.
Ingredients
10 apples (Granny Smith or JonaGold)
1 cup orange juice
1/4 cup sugar
Directions
Put orange juice and sugar into a large saucepan and heat on low.

Begin to peel, core, and chop the apples. As you accumulate
3 or 4 apples, add them to the hot orange juice mixture. Continue cutting
and chopping apples until all are done. Adding them in batches to the
cooking mixture provides for a range of textures in the applesauce.

Cool and refrigerate. Serve with cinnamon, granola,
and craisins on the side.
