Agate Cove Recipes : Chocolate Walnut Cranberry Biscotti

| Dry ingredients | |
| 2 cups | all-purpose flour |
| 1 cup | white sugar |
| 1/2 tsp | baking powder |
| 1/2 tsp | baking soda |
| 1/2 tsp | salt |
| 1/2 tsp | ground cinnamon |
| 1/4 tsp | ground cloves |
| Wet ingredients | |
| 1/4 cup | strong coffee (cooled) |
| 4 tsp | milk |
| 1 | egg, large |
| 1 tsp | vanilla extract |
| Fillings | |
| 3/4 cup | chopped walnuts |
| 1 1/4 cup | chocolate chips (semi-sweet) |
| 3/4 cup | dried cranberries or chopped dried cherries |
| Directions | |
| In a large mixing bowl, combine all dry ingredients and blend well. In a small bowl, whisk together all liquids, then add to dry ingredients with mixer. You may want to add a few drops of coffee to get the mixture slightly wet. Turn dough out onto a well-floured board and add chocolate For a harder biscotti, cut logs into ½” Variations: use pistachios, almonds, or dried cherries. |
